Charter Boat Fishing

You haven't experienced fishing until you've experienced charter boat fishing in Indiana Dunes Country.

Hook up with one of the many charter boat companies that depart from Portage, Indiana. They'll take you to Lake Michigan's hot spots so you can catch salmon, trout and perch.

Most charter boat companies offer both half day and full day charters. The charter boat fishing season begins early March and concludes early December.

All fishing gear is provided by the charter boat companies. You will just need to bring:

Warm clothing and rain gear
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
Hat
Soft-soled shoes
Large cooler and plastic bags to store fish
Your camera
Snacks and drinks (Some of the charter boat companies provide lunch, but you need to order when booking)
Fishing license and trout stamp (The majority of the charter boat companies sell fishing licenses and trout stamps. When making your reservations, ask whether or not they provide this service)
